Cornelius Chisolm Obituary

Cornelius Edgar Chisolm III

C. E. Chisolm, 83 passed away on August 31, 2021, at his home in Panama City Beach, Florida with his blinds open to the roaring sea just the way he wanted with Sue by his side, as always. C. E. was born and raised in Collinsville, Mississippi then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. After the Marine Corps C. E. earned an Aerospace Engineering degree and began a career that brought him to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1977. There he obtained a Master of Business degree at the University of New Mexico. Over the last 45 years, Mr. Chisolm has owned and operated several businesses in Albuquerque. He loved doting on grandchildren and making funny noises at the little ones. His passion was riding his motorcycle with his wife Sue and friends on long trips around the country and was stubborn enough to still be riding two weeks before his passing. He thought nothing of driving 20 hours to visit family and did so often. Mr. Chisolm was still working on a better mounting for his oxygen concentrator on the bike for the next time he could ride. Mr. Chisolm's other interests included skiing, rollerblading, flying, dancing, and driving his vintage T-Bird. Mr. Chisolm is preceded by his recently passed twin Edwin Chisolm. Mr. Chisolm is survived by his wife Susan Segotta Chisolm, his sister Vistan Allen, his children Kenneth Chisolm, Christopher Chisolm, Daniel Chisolm, Erin Chisolm, Andriana Johann, and Gabriel Hahn, and 5 grandchildren.

The celebration of life services will be held on Friday, September 24th at 10:00 AM at French Funeral Home located at 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Chisolm's wish is for donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of C.E. Chisolm.

Over the decades I would remember a wonderful couple, "CE" and Sandra Chisolm. It seemed to always coincide with grilling marinaded pork steaks. Had to school a few northern butchers on cutting the pork steaks really thin. Last week I thought of both of you and said a prayer for you. CE must have heard me, because I was really motivated to look for him today.

Only time will let you fill the empty hole in your heart. May it be filled with joy and the love of God.
