David Baumann Obituary
After a life filled with lots of love and a fair share of dad jokes, David Christopher Baumann, 64, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Friday, November 10, 2023.
Dave met the love of his life, Anna (Barela) as a college student. They were married for 37 years and had two daughters, Michelle and Aundria.
Dave loved the outdoors, hiking and spending quality time with family and friends. There was rarely a hike where he didn't exclaim, "It's just around the corner!" and then proceed to endure 10 more miles. He was also a man of devout faith and his main goal in life was to live like the saints and to make it to heaven. There is no doubt in our minds that he is there now, laughing with all of his loved ones who made it there before him.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Baumann; his daughters Michelle Mares (Mike) and Aundria Koprowski (Brandon); his grandchildren Jude & Lucy Mares and Gianna Koprowski; his mother, Barbara Baumann; and siblings, Dan Baumann (Agnes), Mark Baumann (Tammy), John Baumann (Sue), Jane Widner (Johnny), Alan Baumann (Larissa), Mary Bultman (Gary), Ann Koepp (Karl).
Visitation and Rosary will be on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church (the Rosary will begin at 6:00pm). The funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rio Grande Down Syndrome Network and Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic School.

Dear Anna, Michelle, and Aundria,
We are very saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Thank you so much for all of your hugs over the years. We now return our long-distance, digital hugs to each of you with the hope that you can find peace and comfort in the difficult days ahead. That is our prayer.
