Julia Kelly Obituary

Julia Anne Kelly

We are deeply saddened to announce that Julia Anne Kelly was called to heaven on December 19, 2021. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. We know without a doubt she's now dancing with angels.

Julia was born in Albuquerque, NM in 1962. She graduated with a BBA from UNM in 1984 and became a CPA soon after. Julia was mostly known for her generosity, kindness, and ministry to the sick, lonely, and elderly. She was uniquely gifted to provide comfort and support to people who were living in long-term, difficult circumstances. For many years, Julia freely shared her gift of music and love of young children by teaching and coaching so many for NM All State Choir. She was a disciplined and savvy financial planner and her sound advice was often requested by family and friends. Julia was a devoted wife and dedicated mother. She was a devout Christian and known to many as a consistent and dependable intercessor.

Julia is survived by her husband of 38 years, Brian Kelly, daughter Camille Kelly, and son-in-law Brian Griffith. She is also survived by her sister Jennifer Gray.

Julia will be dearly missed by family and friends. However, we rejoice with her, knowing she is at peace and no longer knows pain, tears, or sadness.

Due to the pandemic, a small, private memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of Julia's favorite charities: Nicaragua Advances in Christian Education (NACE), Joy Junction, or Feed NM Children.

Psalms 119:50 - My comfort in my suffering is this: your promise preserves my life.
Isaiah 49:13 - For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.
John 16:22 - So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

Brian, Camille and family, my sincere condolences. I think fondly of the times that Julie and I spent as friends growing up together. We obsessed about makeup, tanned in the backyard with baby oil, and shared sewing patterns for gunnysack dresses. And then in high school Sandia and the Albuquerque Youth Symphony. I recall too how caring Julie was after the death of my parents. She was a very special person and will be missed.

My fond memories of Julia, Brian & Camille was when we first became friends back in 1997. Camille and my little girls back then road their 3 wheelers up and down the sidewalk while us parents enjoyed each other´s company outside on cool summer days. It was easy to fall in love with this faith filled family and genuine kindness. My families sincerest condolences to the Kelly family. God Bless.

So sorry for your loss. I knew Julie from Sandia High school and also from Albuquerque youth symphony. I knew Brian from Annunciation youth music groups. Unfortunately I lost track of both Brian and Julie over the years and would think about them now and then. Julie was a very kind soul. Very smart and gifted clarinet player as well as a strong Christian. I´m sad to hear this news. Love to Brian.
