Mark C. Chavez
Born in Albuquerque, NM on Friday May 11, 1973. Our beloved Mark (49), bravely left us after a long illness at his home and joined his cousin Lucy Ann Cordova, who he asked to be with before his passing on Sunday November 13, 2022.
His mother, always ready to help her son, cared and provided him with all his needs, her never ending and unconditional love for her son never wavered.
As a youth he raised homing pigeons, had a paper route, received his pilot flight certificate. After graduating from Manzano High School he became a jeweler and mold maker, he excelled in electronics and advocated for children.
Mark is preceded in death by his Grandparents: Lucy and David Vigil, Grace and Joe Eastwood, Uncle Michael Vigil. Aunts: Marion Honorio and Seby Cordova, Cousins: Bob Honorio, Lucy Ann Cordova.
Mark is survived by his Parents: Ramona (Vigil) and Matthew Eastwood. Siblings: Lincoln (Marlee) Alb, Daniel (Brittany) Eugene, OR, Sarah (David) Alb. Nieces: Clover Love, Violet Eastwood, Alb. Nephews: Remy, Apollo Eastwood, Alb. Jaxon Eastwood, Eugene, OR. Beloved Godmother Mona Campbell, Aunts: Rosalie Garcia (Ray), Lidy Valdez, Marie Vigil-Odell, many cousins and extended family.
Best of Friends: Ricky Medina, who for years, 24/7 was on the phone with Marky, when he heard "Hey Dude", he knew Marky was alright until his last breath which was, "Hey Ricky", as he slipped away on your birthday and Claudia Segura for treating Marky with respect and taking him places to have fun. Our gratitude and thanks to you both.
Many thanks to you who sent condolences, food, plants and calls of comfort. His sister who picked him up after treatments sharing special moments and recruiting a moms group preparing us meals. His brothers and sister who had a great time with him during our family trip to Oregon, unforgettable.
Memorial services have taken place, Officiant:
David Boothe, "Abiding Love" reading by Clover Love. Peggy Chavez provided a special send off with a flight of white doves, how fitting, as they circled above Marks beautiful smile of approval was sensed.
Our Mark, you will forever be missed, never forgotten and forever loved.
