Michelle was a few years ahead of me at Pecos High School, and was my Peer Counselor during her Junior and Senior years.
She must have been 17/18 but already, she had loads of self-confidence, a huge heart, along with a sincere desire to help me grow emotionally. She was so supportive, dedicated and already a professional,
which helped me through some difficult times. Early on, she seemed to recognize her gift and call to service, and I was happy to hear she was able to make a career out of helping others. She inspired me, and I was sad to hear of her passing, because she seemed to have so much to share with the world.
My thoughts are with her parents and family. I hope I have been able to convey the positive impact she had in my life, and her loss will be felt by all the people she touched with her light, love and life.
