Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Lafayette for Geraldine Babineaux Bush. Interment will be held at Assumption Cemetery in Carencro LA. Geraldine Babineaux Bush was born on January 27, 1959 in Lafayette, LA., to Theresa B. Wiltz. She departed this earthly life on December 24, 2016 at her residence. She was a devoted and faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Geraldine leaves to cherish her memories her two biological daughters; Natalie Patrice Babineaux (Rico) and was raised by her grandmother; Theresa B. Wiltz and her aunt and uncle; Priscilla and Eddie Duhon, Alexis Joye (Stan) Washington was adopted by her aunt and uncle; Patricia and Cyrus Washington Sr. She is survived by her mother; Theresa Wiltz, four grandchildren; Tyler (Brandy), Justin, Noah and Amir, one great grandchild; Jonah, three sisters; Patricia (Cyrus Sr.) Washington, Priscilla (Eddie) Duhon, Carlene (Richard) Dugas, a special nephew and niece; Harold and Nicole Wilson of Houston Texas and a sister-in-law; Emelda Marie Babineaux and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Geraldine experienced a long and hard journey but in the end she passed on to eternal life in dignity. She loved to sit outside and read her bible. She was a prayer warrior for many and she loved calling the prayer lines; Joyce Meyer, Fr. Hampton and the Mother Theresa Missionary of Charity Nuns. She was preceded in death by her stepfather; Joseph Rogers Wiltz Sr., her brothers; Albert Eugene Babineaux Sr., Joseph Rogers (Boy) Wiltz Jr., and grandparents; Theresa and Alfred Babineaux and one niece; Natalie Patrice Washington and several aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 from 7:00am to 10:30am at Kinchen Funeral Home in Lafayette. Kinchen Funeral Home Inc., 1011 North Saint Antoine Street, Lafayette LA 70501 is in charge of arrangements.
