Jim was one of the best friends I have ever had. He always made you feel welcome when you were around him and helped many people. He put together charity hunts for disabled people, painted countless jobs for free for good causes and made you laugh everytime you saw him. I am thankful that I had the chance to tell him, two days before he died, how awesome of a friend he was and how thankful I was to have him in my life. Just like that, he was gone three days later. It reminded me just how important it was to let go of the hate and ill feelings in our lives for the sake of joy and happiness in ourselves and our community. Jim was a great example of that and I look forward to performing music for his funeral for the joy and choose to be thankful for his life instead of feeling sad that he is gone. In the end, you can't take anything with you and you can leave behind an example for others to repeat that makes the world a happier place. I think Jim has done just that despite a less than perfect past. Thankyou for being my friend Jim.
