Nicholas Alexander Obituary

Anchorage resident, Nicholas "Nick" William Sergei Alexander passed away at his home on February 21, 2013.

A memorial will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Christ our Savior Lutheran Church, 1612 Oceanview Drive in Anchorage.

Nick was born to Shirley Alexander and father Paul Alexander on July 12, 1986 in Anchorage, AK. He graduated from the Alaska Military Youth Academy in March 2005; he was very proud of this accomplishment as were his family. Nick was an awesome father to his 5 year old twin sons. He spent a lot of time caring for them, teaching them and loving them. Nick shared his love of reading cowboy books with Grandpa Pais. It is no accident he named his sons Jesse and James. He enjoyed learning and reading about history. Nicholas loved being a family man. He loved Alaska and Hagen Das ice cream. Nicholas loved and laughed at cartoons and he loved music. He enjoyed having coffee with his mother in the mornings.

Nick was preceded in death by his Grandpa "Pais" Don Paisley, Grandma Sandy Paisley, Grandpa Heinie Roehl; Auntie Julie Giles, Uncle Sam Hague and Uncle Bill Siemens.

He is survived by his mother Shirley Alexander; his father Paul Alexander; his brother Matthew; his sons, Jesse and James; Mickey Sexton, his Auntie Debbie, Steve, James and Raymond Redmond, Uncle Harmon Roehl, Auntie Lana and Uncle Bill Kiernan, Auntie Sheila Hague, Auntie Marilyn, Gary, Kim, Tina and Deandre Andersen, Auntie Veda, cousins Oliver, Gilbert, Augustus and Roland Siemens, and a multitude of cousins and friends.

Nicholas's kind spirit and gentle nature has touched many lives. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Nicholas will always be remembered for his courage during difficult times; we know he is at peace and without pain now.

In lieu of flowers, his mother requests that donations be made to his sons James and Jesse in a trust fund she has created at CreditUnion1 account # 536544.

Arrangements were cared for by the Anchorage Funeral Home and Crematory. Please visit Nick's obituary and online guestbook at www.AlaskanFuneral.com

I am so sorry that I didn't get to see much of my dear cousin as an adult, but all my childhood memories of Nicholas are so fond. I will always remember his sweet, feisty, and funny personality (and especially his fondness for Jeremy the Frog's legs). Shirley, Paul, and Matthew, I cannot begin to tell you how much my heart is aching for you, and all I can do is to send you my dearest and best love, and more for Jesse and James, whom I have never met, but am so glad to know are in the world.

Dear Paul, Shirley, and Matthew,

We grieve with you, and with all those who loved Nicholas. We pray that God gives you strength and comfort to endure these very difficult days.

With the approach of Easter, we pray that Christ's Holy Resurrection will serve to reassure you of the promise that one day all will be reunited with their departed loved ones.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:22

May Nicholas' Memory be Eternal!
