Nick Kutzgar Obituary

Nick P. Kutzgar Jr. age 57 died at Providence Hospital due to complications resulting from pneumonia on January 6th, 2013.

Nick was born to Nick Kutzgar Sr. and Emiliana Kutzgar on June 1st 1955 in Anchorage. After graduating from East High School in 1973, Nick along with his brother Sam attended Denver diesel and automotive. Upon his return to Anchorage he worked for Alaska truck center, Trailercraft, and for the last 15 years worked for Alaska Industrial Hardware, he had just received a 15 year pin from A.I.H. Nick loved to fish and made an annual pilgrimage to Valdez for silvers. His other love was football and of course the Denver Broncos.

His family writes, "Nick was a thoughtful, caring son, brother, uncle, and cousin. He was always positive, happy and ready to tell you a horrible joke. Nick will be dearly missed by all that knew him."

Nick is survived by his mother Emiliana; brothers Sam and Fred; sister Margarita, nephew Joshua and cousin Michael. Many cousins, aunts and uncles in New Mexico, Mexico, and Louisiana will also miss him terribly.

Nick was preceded in death by his father Nick Sr., uncle Norman Fisher, and aunt Maria Fisher.

As per his wishes no services are to be held.

His ashes will be placed in his family plot this spring at Angelus Memorial Park in Anchorage.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

I am so sad to hear of the loss of one of the greatest loves of my life. My prayers go out to the whole family and to all who loved him. I have so many great memories that we shared. My most fond memory was flying to Florida and picking up a school bus to drive back to Anchorage for shipping. We delivered a fire truck to Fairbanks and he took me to Santas house. His family was my family and vice versa. I will always love you Nicky! To Ma K, Pidge, Fred and Sam. I miss you all and wish you well. Love always, Pickle.

Sorry for your loss. Nick and I were boyfriend and girlfriend for over 20 years. We still remaind friends when I left Alaska. He was a kind man and had so many funny and stupid jokes to tell. Nick will be missed here on earth. But he is with his dad now and is at peace with life.
