Pauline "Paula" Marie Tasselli, 60, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, in Anchorage, Alaska, surrounded by her children. Paula was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 19, 1954, to Marianne and Don Dorton. She moved to Alaska on an adventure with a friend where she met her husband, Charles Tasselli, and together they raised three wonderful children in Eagle River, Alaska. Paula was a vibrant soul who enjoyed all things crafty, especially sewing for her children who were her passion and delight. She always kept a big, healthy garden, spent summers exploring the Alaskan outdoors and had a reputation for being one of the areas best pool players. Paula loved her music and loved it loud! Paula devoted much of her professional career to the Alaska State School for the Deaf and spent her remaining years at the post office in Anchorage. A loving and supportive friend and mother, Paula will be missed by many. Paula was preceded in death by her mother, Marianne Dorton; her father, Don Dorton; and brother, Don Dorton Jr. Paula is survived by her daughter, Angelica Spitzer (Eric); two granddaughters, Healy and Hope Spitzer of Sitka, Alaska; daughter, Jessica Tasselli of Eagle River; son, Marcello Tasselli (Melissa); grandson, Jaden; and granddaughter, Skyrah of Eagle River; and Charles Tasselli (former spouse) of Wasilla, Alaska. A memorial service will be officiated by Deacon Jim Lee on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Saint Andrews Catholic Church, located at 16300 Domain Lane, Eagle River, Alaska. Arrangements are with Janssen's Eagle River Funeral Home.

To The Tasselli Children of Paula,
I wanted to say that your Mom talks highy of each of you children she expressed her deepest loves to all of you and the grandchildren. Her face glows everytime she speaks of her adventures and experiences. I enjoyed hearing her stories ... she also spoken of her great good friend who also had passed. Shes a special lady I always loved seeing her when she comes to visit. You are lucky that she is your Mother she is so unquie in her talents with everyone who knows her for her love and crafts things. Her spirit may be gone but will always be with us and will never forget her. Im glad our paths had crossed and we became friends in short time.
