Remembering a fallen hero
Clint Corvinus was born August 1, 1983, to Tom and Cindy Corvinus in San Diego, Calif. He moved with his family to the Alamogordo area in 1989, and had lived here since.
Clint officially started with the Alamogordo Department of Public Safety March 26, 2012, and graduated the New Mexico Police Academy June 14, 2013, as Class 185, after having been working in the capacity for almost a year prior to leaving for the Police Academy. He was a 4 1/2 year veteran of the Alamogordo Police Department. Clint was killed in the line of duty Sept. 2, 2016, doing what he loved, serving the community and residents Alamogordo.
Clint loved his menagerie of animals, and held a special affinity for dogs and snakes. He loved life, never met a stranger and could always make you laugh. Clint loved his family and friends, and always made time for both. Alamogordo lost a son, father, brother, friend and so much more. He will be missed by all those he touched in one way or another.
He is survived by his parents, Tom and Cindy Corvinus; his 17-year-old daughter, Jessica Corvinus; sister, April Sanchez and husband Jayme; grandmother, Margaret Corvinus; and his girlfriend, Amber Anderson all of Alamogordo.
Funeral services for Officer Clint Corvinus will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Tay's Center on the NMSU-A campus; 2400 N. Scenic Dr., Alamogordo, NM.
The Corvinus family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the services. Cremation will take place at PCS.

Such a waste of a good Officer. I know in heaven there are some of NM's finest waiting to greet OfficerCorvinus. Two of them are Al Marchand and Otis Foster. Another is Deputy Ben Green from the Grant County Sheriff's Dept. They were some of the best. I am horrified at this needless murder. RIP and to your family - God Bless, we know it isn't easy.

My sincerest condolences to the Corvinus family and Amber. My heart is heavy, I've known Clint from our middle/high school days. I'm very proud of the man that he became. He was truly a good person with a huge heart. May god give you comfort during this time with all the memories he left you with. Clint may be gone in the physical form, but he will always be with us in our hearts.

I'm so sorry for your loss...there are no words that can express how much he will be missed by all that knew him. I worked with Clint several years ago at the police department. I'm happy to say that I could call him my friend. God bless you all.

Clint Corvinus, a co-worker, caring boyfriend to another co-worker Amber Anderson, an amazing father to his daughter and Amber's son. Clint was always the first to respond with helping security with any mishap that would happen in the store. Even though he was a very quiet person, one thing he made sure of is to let us know, that if we needed anything he was just a call away.
