GLORIA B. ROSALES Alice, Texas - Gloria B. Rosales, 45 years of age, passed away on February 20, 2023, in a local hospital. Gloria was born on February 24, 1977, in Alice to Brigido Q. Rosales and Felipa Garcia Rosales. Gloria was the light of her mom's life and yearned to be with her every day. Growing up, Gloria's mother always made sure that she had everything she needed, from making sure she kept up with the latest trends, to listening to new music; and even learning how to play instruments. Gloria's love for music continued to be fulfilled by attending concerts by her favorite artists. Gloria's loving mother, Felipa, instilled many beautiful attributes in her including respect, kindness, hard work and optimism. However, the greatest of these attributes was LOVE. Because of this, Gloria contagiously blessed us with these gifts through her unique relationships. Gloria could light up a room with her presence and personality with her charm and wit. Through her positive spark of energy, she welcomed everyone with open arms and made those she spoke to feel heard. Her smiles were addictive, and her hugs were passionate. In her lifetime, Gloria had hope and remained faithful through her love for Christ. Within her faith, she lived a life that she prayed for with strength and prosperity. We can honor Gloria by living life as she did. To be strong and courageous for all who put their HOPE in the Lord. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Brigido Q. and Felipa Rosales; two brothers, Roberto "Bobby" and Luis Arturo Rosales; and one nephew, Oscar R. Flores. Survivors include two uncles, Gaspar (Evangelina) Garcia of Dallas, Texas and Daniel (Esmeralda) Garcia of Beeville, Texas; one sister, Judy R. Flores of Alice; two brothers, Javier (Blanca) Rosales and Carlo Rosales both of Alice; three cousins, Noemi Garcia of Dallas, Texas, Laura Lee Garza of Corpus Christi , Texas and Elle Garza of George West, Texas; and her best friends, Amy Salinas, Carla M. Zambrano, Mari Vela, Magda Morales, Rebecca Lopez, and Jessica Trejo, all of Alice. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, and friends whom she loved very much. Visitation and viewing was on Friday February 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Rosas Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary being recited at 12: p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church that same day. Services concluded at the church. Inurnment of cremains will be later and will be announced. Serving as pallbearers will be Fidencio Lopez, Javier Rosales, Robby Rosales, Rey Vera, Ezra Ortiz, Arnoldo Salinas, Luke Hernandez and Juan Diego Zambrano.
