Tom Thatcher Obituary
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Tom was born on November 24, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Ok. to Henrietta Stamp and Stanton Thatcher. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma. He had worked in the residential real estate business for the past 45 years. He founded and started the Thatcher Company in 1974. He is an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. He served as a leader of Younglife and on the board of Younglife for 15 years. His passion was mentoring and discipling others for Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ann Thatcher Ballard.
He is survived by his wife Joann Thatcher; a sister, Karen Thatcher Freund; children, Mike Thatcher, Mark Thatcher and wife Jenny, Steve Thatcher and wife Stephanie, Stephanie Hagen and husband Kurt, Seth Thatcher and wife Tory; grandchildren, Benjamin, Grayson, Miles, Thatcher, Gigi, Vaughn, Tripp, Hill, Tom, Vivian, and Richard.
The family suggests memorials be made to Amarillo Young Life, 620 S. Taylor St., Ste. N1, Amarillo, TX, 79101.

Tom was truly a special man. He will always be in our hearts because of his love of others. Many years have past since our college days, but we will always remember those times and our later years together. Our love goes out to Joan and his extended family. He will be missed by all.
