David Andrew Barnett, 78, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010, at Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Liberty Hill Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Henley officiating. entombment will be at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Dryden Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Roger McManus, Byron Clarke, Ted Campbell, Ron Roberson, Tracy Chandler, Allen Mason. Survivors include his daughter, Susie (Scott) Keeling, of Clinton, Ark.; two sons, Andy (Brenda) Barnett, of Heflin and Randy (Shelia) Barnett, of Leeds; four sisters, Kathryn Hanson and Barbara Cates, both of Anniston, Joyce Johnson and Mary Ruth Harrell, both of Oxford; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren. Mr. Barnett was a native of Oxford and resident of Heflin for most of his life. He was a member of Liberty Hill Congregational Methodist Church.
