Larry was one of the best athletes that i've ever known. We grew up together in Weaver. Larry went on the become the coach of his high school at Alexandria and became one of the best coaches that Alabama has ever known. I always knew Larry to be great guy. May his memory be for a blessing.

In honor of your memory on the anniversary of your passing on to Heaven; thank you for being a good childhood friend. You were the best overall athlete that I knew. You could do it all and you became one of the best High School coaches ever. God rest your soul.

Please have my deepest respect for Coach Ginn and I am sorry to hear of his passing.I admired and respected Coach Ginn as did many other people.I was the Coach's 1st stat man when he took over the varsity basketball team at the valley.I will never forget the times at practice,on the bus and the games.I saw him take a program that was laughed at by others and turn it into the winner it is,because the man was a winner.I remember the Coach enjoying that he got his stat's from the game the night before the next day.
Coach Ginn was an awesome man,a great Christian,he will be missed physically on earth but his spirit will live on in the Valley, his family and to all others he met.
Coach Ginn is in heaven playing one-one with Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and smiling in a new body, pain free and always able to take the quick pop-up jumper from the outside.
Go mbeanna Dia Duit(May God Bless You-Irish)pronounced Go manny Gia Gitch.
I will miss you Coach, but I will see you in Heaven, our home with Our Eternal Father. From Ireland with love and knowing the Coach is in a better place.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Larry Ginn. I went to Alexandria High with Mike and Joni but did not know Larry except for what I heard around Alexandria and it was always high praise. Condolences to all the family and close friends.

My son never got the chance to play for Coach Ginn but respected and admired him through just watching him. He was brought up to play with the Varsity just last year. He would comment to me on how everyone just listened to Coach no matter what. He said "Mom he has got to be just an awesome coach to get that much respect". We are praying for your family. Janet & Boys,
We were on the road with our ministry when we heard of Larry's passing.
You have so much for which to be thankful-the wonderful time you had with your loving husband and father. You may feel right now that it was only a short time here on this earth, but just remember the blessed assurance that God gives when we know Him as Lord and Savior-life eternal with all of our loved ones.
I remember the last time I saw Larry was when Richard and I were singing at your church. He looked so good to me that day, but I felt the Lord leading me to sing a song especially for him for it had a wonderful message in it- "Leave It There". I caught Larry's eyes as I sang, and I knew that he was protected by God's perfect plan.
Remember that God really loves you and cares when you are hurting. Take your burdens to Him and leave them there.
Know that you are all in our prayers. Just keep loving Jesus and be blessed.

Coach Ginn was one of the finest people that I have ever known. I am a football offical (40 years of calling) and called many of Coach Ginn's games. My family and I would see him and his family out on occassions, especially Sunday afternoons at Captain D's, and he would always take the time to stop and talk a bit and speak to us. Alot of Coaches don't do that. He will be miss. Our sympathy to you and your family.

Janet,
Lee asked me to contact you directly and give you his heartfelt sympathy over Larry's passing. He is working in New Mexico for the rest of the summer and can't be here at this time. He wanted you to know how sorry he was and that he will be by to see you when he returns home. He's working as a recreation staff leader for the 3rd year at Glorietta and has been called to work recreation with Christian Youth Camps as his profession. I attribute this choice of professions to the impact that all his coaches Hamby, Tucker, A. & G. Shaw, and Larry, etc had on him. Thank you and again, prayers and God's comfort today and in the time to come!
