Nancy L. Arnold

Nancy L. Arnold, 76, passed away December 7, 2014. Nancy was born in Michigan on February 5, 1938. She worked for years at the Army, Air Force Exchange Service. She was a loving wife and mother. Everyone that knew her benefited from her gentle spirit and caring attitude. She loved to cook, garden and travel. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Tom Kemp and A.B. Arnold; parents, Lester and Judy Black; sister, Sheila Black and brother, Lester "Joe" Black Jr. She is survived by her son, Mac Kemp (Lori); daughters, Kelly Clifton, Debbie Durbin (Mike), Juliette Kemp, Cathy Moskot (Michael), Donna Pirkle (James), Paula Dyer (Bobby); grandchildren, Sara, Hannah and John David Clifton, Lindsay and Tyler Durbin, Summer Heard (Cole), Logan Byars, Brian, Melissa, Jacob and Anna Kemp, Cara and Casey Moskot, Michelle Pirkle and Scott Dyer; great grandchildren, Olivia Clifton, Carson Benton and Hayden Heard; sisters, Penny Kibble (Bill), Arlene McConkey (Everett), Yolonda O'Brien (Harvey); brothers, Randy Black (Mary), Gerald Black (Pauline), Birger Black (Jeri Ann), Gunnard Black, Tim Black. The celebration of her life will be on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with burial at Washington Cemetery in Stevenson, Ala. with the Rev. Bridget Dowdy and Mark Clifton officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10 a.m. until service time at the church. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Oasis Hospice for their help and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oasis Hospice in her honor. Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home is directing.
