Raymond Douglas DaLee Jr. Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Raymond Douglas DaLee Jr., 76, will be Saturday, May 17, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Mr. DaLee went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 14, 2014 at RMC. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 55 years, Katie Ruth Kent DaLee, of Anniston; daughter, Terri Lynn DaLee, of Anniston; brother-in-law, Donald Kent (Diane), of Anniston; sisters-in-law, Geraldine 'Geri' Hughes, of Oxford and Sandra F. Kent, of Heflin; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who worked diligently and tirelessly to serve this family during their traumatic time. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Raymond Douglas DaLee III, who passed away on April 18 of this year. Mr. DaLee was a graduate of Evergreen High School. He then went on to graduate from Raymond Horn School of Drafting, in Birmingham. He built pre-fabricated homes. He would build and sell each home as if it was his own. Mr. DaLee was an active deacon and Sunday school teacher for over 40 years. He always supported the pastors in prayer. Not many men would volunteer to go to speak to the lost and homeless, but he would. He loved serving his Lord and always had a joyous celebration when someone gave their life to Christ. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Miller Funeral Home who has helped them during this tiring time, to AlaCare who helped take care of Mr. DaLee and to all of the family members who stood by our side during this time. www.millerfuneralhomeoxford.com Miller Funeral Home & Crematory Oxford, AL (256) 831-4611 A Brown Service Authorized Funeral Home.
