MOORESVILLE — Terrence "Terry" Dewitt Morton, Sr., 86, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at his home.
He was born September 6, 1937, in Anson County, NC, to the late Henry Howze Morton and Ruth Denning Morton. He was very involved in Pop Warner Football League in Charlotte when his children were young. Terry attended St. Therese Catholic Church and was formerly a member of Knights of Columbus at the church. He proudly served his country in the Air National Guard. He was the proud owner of TDM Enterprises in Mooresville. Terry's company provided security and audio-video services to many Mooresville families and businesses over four decades. Terry loved his family deeply.
He is survived by sons, Terrence "Sonny" Morton, Jr., (wife, Lorrie), Mark Morton (KayLynne), and Greg Morton (Kim); grandchildren, Michelle Meadows (Aaron), Garrett Morton, Tyler Morton (Rosemary), Adam Morton, Sarah Morton and Leah Morton.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, June 19, from 4-6 PM with a Prayer Service at 4:45 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake Norman Humane Society, P. O Box 3937, 2106 Charlotte Hwy., Mooresville, NC 28117.
