Arthur Rizza Obituary

Arthur J. Rizza, Jr.

Arthur J. Rizza, Jr. died Wednesday, November 7, surrounded by his loving family. Arthur was the oldest child of Arthur and Rose Rizza. He grew up in Milltown, NJ and graduated from New Brunswick High School an attended Rider University. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1964 and was assigned to the 155th Aviation Company, 1st Aviation Battalion. He served his country in Vietnam as a crew chief and helicopter dog from 1965-1966. Upon his return to the states he started working at Arky's Auto Sales in East Brunswick. He took over the business and renamed it Arty's Auto Sales. He met his lovely bride, Amie in July of 1968. They married a short time later on November 23, 1968.

Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Amie, his children Christopher, of Mont Clare, Pa; James and his wife Laura of Ringoes, NJ; Robert and his wife June of Jamesburg, NJ; Kathryn Strauss and her husband Jason of Bound Brook, NJ.

He treasured his grandchildren, Carolyn, Michael, Jason, Zachary, Isabelle and Marcus and enjoyed spending time with them. They were truly the joy of his life.

Also surviving are a brother Richard of Milltown, NJ and a sister Roseanne and her husband Robert of Dayton, N.J.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday for friends and family. He was a proud veteran and would have appreciated the acknowledgement of his service on this special day.
