Barbara Franklin Obituary
Freehold Township - Barbara L. Franklin, 68, of Freehold Township died on Monday, April 30, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Neptune Township and was a lifelong resident of the Freehold area.
Barbara enjoyed working in her garden. Her grandchildren were her life. She enjoyed watching Emma compete at her barns show and talking local history with Cody. In her early years she spent many days visiting Allaire State Park and camping at Bass River State Park.
Her husband, Carl J. Franklin, died this past February. She was also predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Kristen Franklin in 2014; her parents, Stanley Komensky in 1953 and Rosabella Ayres Komensky in 1985; and a sister, Rosabella Miles in 1984.
Surviving are a son, Daniel Franklin; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Timothy Brooke; two grandchildren, Cody and Emma Brooke; and a cousin, Cheryl Kane and her children, Brian, Sheri, and Stephen.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.

We were friends in grammar school - such a friendly person all seemed to enjoy her company. Sorry for your lost Tammy and family. Take care of everyone for us we are wishing you condolences .
