Barbara Wisenbaker Obituary
Lakewood - Barbara Anne (Knothe) Wisenbaker, "Grandma", 71, formerly of Rochelle Park, Maywood, Brick, and Lakewood died peacefully at Hackensack Meridian Health's Hospice care in Brick, NJ on May 11, 2018. Barbara worked several administrative secretarial jobs while raising her family including Performance Training Incorporated where she retired from in 2011. In work and in her personal life, Barbara was funny, loyal, loving and kind. She was a friend, mother, and grandma to anyone in need. She was predeceased by her father Charles A. Knothe, brother Charles A. Knothe Jr., brother Donald P. Knothe, and first husband/longtime friend William T. Placek. Barbara is survived by her brother Daniel J. Knothe (Janet), son Peter L. Placek (Malaya), daughter Danianne Gancy (Chris), and grandchildren Jannah, Arielle, Janine, Mason and Owen. Her biggest and most proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. She would never hesitant to pull out her cell phone to show her endless pictures of her family to anyone she met. She loved cooking for her family, cheering on her grandchildren in all their activities and endeavors, thrift store shopping and continually adding to her massive Tupperware collection.

One of my fondest memories of Barbara was at a Mothers of Multiples event Danianne and I attended with our Moms years back. The theme was Pajama Party. Everyone came mostly in frumpy pjs, well in walks Danianne and Barbara and she is dressed in a beautiful nightgown set, she looked very elegant and put us all to shame at the table, we laughed and had a fun time! She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a sweet and genuine person. May she Rest In Peace. Thinking of you Danianne, Chris, Janine, Owen and Mason.

I always thought she was so beautiful when she was married to Billy and wished someday I could be that gorgeous. Now she is a beautiful angel in heaven, may she Rest In Peace. My sincere condolences and sympathy to your family Danianne.

Barbara will be missed dearly. She was a wonderful warm caring Grandma to all. She always treated me like family and cheered for Connor at every hockey game like he was one of her own! We are blessed to have known her. Chris, Danianne, Janine, Mason and Owen you are in our prayers. Love..."the Wenger's...as she would say ❤
