Craig Riddle Obituary

Craig Riddle

AGE: 52 • Shrewsbury

Craig Riddle, 52, of Shrewsbury, succumbed to his courageous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2014. He was predeceased by his father, Ron. Surviving are his loving wife, Lauren; sons, Ryan and Connor; and daughter, Colleen. He leaves behind his mother, Patricia; sister, Doreen and brother, Brian and wife Anne.

Craig attended Christian Brothers Academy (where he won the freshman run if he didn't tell ya) and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Craig worked in the financial industry for 30 years. Craig was an avid skier and hiker. He had a genuine love of nature and music, but his true love was the role as husband and father, and friend to many. His endurance, strength, courage and sense of humor will forever be remembered in the hearts of loves ones. He will truly be missed by the many lives he touched. Craig taught us, by example, that life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain.

There are no visitation hours. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26 at St. James R.C. Church, 94 Broad St., Red Bank. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to The Jimmy Fund @ Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 or online at www.jimmyfund.org. Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, was entrusted with his arrangements.

I had the pleasure of working with both Craig and his Dad at Merrill Lynch. What a blessing to work with 2 of the funniest men I knew but who also became my friends. Craig had the best outlook on life of anyone I know and I send my deepest sympathy to you all. He will stay alive in your memories because that's something that can never be taken away from you. I know he will live on in your hearts for eternity as he will in mine.

Lauren and family -

Words cannot express how shocked I was to read of Craig's passing. I am so very sorry for your loss, and will keep you and your children in my prayers. Craig was always so incredibly upbeat - his laugh was one of a kind. I'm sure he fought his battle courageously. Please know that you will be in my thoughts.
