Doris Anne Ziegele Taylor, 91, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, after a brief illness. Born an only child in Newark to William and Janet Ziegele, Doris lived in Newark, Irvington and Union. She moved to Toms River after retiring in 1998 from the Union Twp. Bd of Ed as a school bus driver. Doris had many hobbies and was active in her community, but her passion was her art, which she shared with her family and friends. After prior local and state awards, Doris won first place in the 2014 N.J. State Senior Citizens Art Exhibit non-professional print category for 'Nude in the Mist'. Doris was predeceased by her parents and by her son-in-law, William Zurich, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Zurich; her sons, Kenneth, his wife Roseanne, and Glenn, his wife Carol; her 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many cousins and friends. A memorial service/visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 at Timothy E. Ryan Funeral Home, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. Cremation services were private.
