Eva Dicks

AGE: 80 • Helmetta

Eva Dicks, surrounded by her family, died on November 23rd, 2011, after a short battle with cancer. She was 80 years old. Eva was the former mayor of Helmetta and also worked for the Middlesex County Health Department. After her retirement, she moved to Marietta, Georgia, to be near her son John. Eva enjoyed her time as Mayor as well as serving on various boards and committees in Helmetta and Middlesex County. After her retirement, she spent time volunteering in her church and she also loved watching golf. She set a fine example for her children and loved them very much.

Mrs. Dicks was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard; and three children, Richard, Paula, and Ricky. She is survived by one daughter, Judy and her husband Steve from Goodyear, AZ; three sons, Steve and his wife Jan from White Oak, TX, John and his wife Kim from Marietta, GA, Sean and his wife Lisa Marie from Dublin, OH, and one brother, Buck from Ft. Walton Beach, FL. She had ten grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9th at Jamesburg Presbyterian Church. In memory of Eva, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
