Joseph DeFazio Obituary
AGE: 35 • Unity, ME
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Arthur DeFazio, 35, of Unity, Maine and Hillsborough, New Jersey. Joey passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015, in a tragic car accident. Joey was born on January 18, 1980, in Flemington, NJ.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Arthur Godown, of Whitehouse Station, NJ. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Bridget (Card) and Wayne Sanipas of Unity, ME; his sister, Christina Monk of Portland, ME; his grandmother, Tony Godown, of Troy, ME; his father and stepmother, Joseph and Penny DeFazio; his siblings, April and Sean DeFazio, of Hillsborough, NJ; his grandparents, Helen and Thomas DeFazio, of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and his best friend, Jeff Berard of Fairfield Center, ME.
Joey was well loved by everyone whose lives he touched. To Joey, family and close friends were everything. He was caring, loving, fearless, adventurous, compassionate, and lived his life to its fullest. He worked as Production and Security Personnel for Live Nation in NJ. He attended Raritan Valley Community College out of Branchburg, NJ. He enjoyed live music, traveling, motorcycles, and riding quads with his dad.
This Friday, December 11, 2015, the viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 11a.m. with a funeral service to begin at 11 a.m. at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main Street, Fairfield, Maine. Burial will follow the service at Ames Cemetery in Benton, Maine. (Off the River Road) Following the burial, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Fairfield VFW, 246 Main Street, Fairfield, Maine. All are welcome and encouraged to join. Thank you all for the support and love.

Joey my first born, my son, I love you with all my heart and miss you dearly.
