Kevin Hunt Obituary

Kevin Joseph Hunt

AGE: 56 • Formerly of Holmdel

Kevin Joseph Hunt, age 56, of Fairfield, CT, beloved husband of Andrea Suligoy Hunt and devoted father of John (Jack) and Joseph (J.P.), passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016, after a courageous fight with a long illness.

In addition to Andrea, his devoted wife of 25 years, and Jack and J.P., Kevin will be missed terribly by his father Kenneth Hunt, his parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Suligoy of Illinois; his sisters, Erin, Tara, Kathlyn Hunt Johnson, and her husband James; brother, Christopher and his wife Lenore; uncle, Fr. Kevin Hunt OCSO; and nieces and nephews, Alexandra Hunt, Christoper Hunt, Mariel Hunt, Jeremy Johnson, Justin Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Emerald Day and James Day Jr.

Born in New York, Kevin grew up in Holmdel, New Jersey and attended Holmdel High School. He graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelors Degree in English in 1983 and from University of Chicago with a MBA in Finance in 1999. He pursued a career in banking and finance, ultimately spending the last 22 years of his successful career with Morgan Stanley as a Private Wealth Investment Manager. He met and married Andrea in Chicago, and the two moved to London for 15 years where he provided investment advisory for Morgan Stanley's European high net worth clients. Kevin and Andrea traveled all over the globe and raised their two sons in London until they moved back to the states in 2010 to settle in Fairfield.

Kevin possessed a real passion for his family, friends, and his beloved Irish Jack Russell Terrier, Beans, along with the other animals the family shares at their home in the Greenfield Hill section of Fairfield. He was the quintessential host with his door always open for company. Kevin was also a gifted athlete and artist, who painted in oils in his spare time and could always be found enjoying culture and the world around him.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday November 5th 2016 at 10:00am at Holy Cross Church in Rumson New Jersey with a private celebration of his life afterward for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, his family would prefer memorial contribution to: The National Patient Safety Foundation at www. npsf.site-ym.com. Deeply saddens to hear the news about Kevin. From May 1989 to June 1995, Kevin was more than a best friend. We were like brothers. Thank you Kevin for the great memories during the best six years of my single life, befriending me as a new arrival to Chicago, introducing me to Wrigley Field and all the fun and laughs. You are remembered with fond memories and the greatest appreciation for helping me through a few lows. Jeff DeFazio
