MARIO "MIKE" GULINELLO
AGE: 90 MANCHESTER
Mario "Mike" Gulinello, age 90, of Manchester, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010, at home. Born in Torrington, Conn., he lived in Staten Island, NY and Fort Meyers, Fla., before moving to Leisure Village West in Manchester in 2003. Mike was Owner and Proprietor of Madison Street Wines and Liquors in NYC for 30 years before retiring in 1978. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He was an avid gardener.
Surviving are his loving wife, Catherine Pappalardo Gulinello; two sons, Frank of Manchester and Paul and his wife Nina of Staten Island; two brothers, Salvatore of Sicily and Anthony of Ohio; loving sister-in-law, Joanne DeGennaro; also five grandchildren, Teresa, Marc, Katherine, Matthew and Jaclyn; two great-grandchildren, Brian and Michael, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 9:30-10:30 a.m. at "The Family Owned" Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's RC Church in Lakehurst followed by entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to: NJ Cuidado Casero Hospice, 74 Brick Boulevard, Building #4, Suite 120, Brick, NJ 08723 or National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Mid Jersey Chapter, 246 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, NJ 07755.
