Mason Hess Obituary
AGE: 14 months •
Toms River
Mason William Hess, 14 months, of Toms River died surrounded by his loved ones Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Mason's legacy lives on through the Gift of Life Donor Program.
Surviving are his parents, Adam and Kellie Hess; grandparents, William and Donna Pyper, Jon and Mary Ellen Hess; great grandparents, Herman and Nancy Bowers and Kathleen Pyper and his dog, Jager. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his uncle, Danny Hess.
A celebration of Mason's life will be held 11 am Friday, September 7th at the United Methodist Church of Island Heights, 111 Ocean Ave., Island Heights, NJ 08732. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Mason's memory to the Gift of Life Family House, 401 Callowhill St., Philadelphia, PA 19123, http://www.giftoflifefamilyhouse.org/.

I never knew this little Angel but his photo touched my heart. I think of him now and then and smile. No matter how much time passes by his love only grows in the hearts who loved him and cherished every moment they had with him. No one knows why certain BLESSINGS have such limited time on this planet. But the memory they leave behind comforts those who love them and only grows brighter with every passing. I hope little Mason's family only smiles when they think of him as I do when I look at his beautiful face.

We will always be honored to call Mason our nephew. He was such a fabulous, joyful, bright little man and we both, along with Ella and Ben, adored him. And we still do...and always will.

Adam, Kellie, The Hess family and Pyper family ... I am just speechless as I know no words can take away the pain you are all feeling at this time. Please know I will continue to keep Mason in my families prayers 14 short months on this earth yet he has touched more than any of us do in our own life time. How different i wish this outcome was.. Please know as each one of those receipients of Mason reach a stepping stone in their own lives so does Mason as he too will be part of that.although your dreams of Mason seem lost they are truly not he will be living on in each one of them..Each heart felt tear of joy for them for what they now have is thanks to your unselfishness and esp due to Mason.
