Matthew DaSilva Obituary

Matthew DaSilva

Toms River - Matthew DaSilva, aka Matty D., 34 of Toms River passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ and raised in Toms River where he resided for the remainder of his life.

Though his life here on Earth was shorter than expected, his wisdom was beyond his years. Through his actions and love he taught us that we are all perfect exactly how we are - with all our flaws and imperfections. Known for his big smile, laugh and genuine personality, Matthew always saw the best in others. He believed that above all things, family was the most important. His love for Steeler's football and a fresh pair of Jordans will never be forgotten.

Matthew graduated from Toms River High School North and went on to pursue a career in mechanics. He worked at Magnolia Auto Service #1 in Elizabeth and Toms River throughout his adult life.

A loving father, Matthew is survived by his son, Matthew Michael DaSilva and his beloved fiancée, Vienna Angelo; his parents, Manuel and Donna DaSilva; and his siblings, Marissa Verderrosa, Manny DaSilva Jr., and Christina Gengaro.

Services will be held at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River, NJ 08753. Visiting hours are Friday, March 23rd, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 24th, 11:30 am at St. Catharine of Siena Church, 50 E Street, Seaside Park, NJ 08752, you can arrive at the Funeral Home 10:00 am.
