Patrick Golden Obituary
AGE: 94 • Woodbridge
Patrick "Frank" Golden, 94, of Woodbridge passed away quietly at his home on Thursday, May 29th surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Woodbridge, Patrick has been a lifelong resident. Before retiring, he was employed as Plant Superintendent at Art Metal in Newark as a furniture fabricator for many years. In his spare time, Patrick enjoyed collecting coins, metal detecting and was an avid Yankees fan. He was also on the St. James Church Council and an usher at 5:30 mass every Saturday.
Patrick was predeceased by his wife of 57 years; Ellen Veronica Golden, two children; Edward Golden and Ann Golden, along with three siblings; William, Robert and John Golden. He is survived by his five children; Lawrence Golden and his wife Nikki Gail of Woodbridge, Patrick Golden and his wife Mary of Island Heights, W. Aloysius Golden and his wife Emily of Alabama, MaryEllen O'Connor and her husband Thomas of Edison and Joseph Golden and his wife Joanne of Woodbridge. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; Mary Beth, Nikki Ann, Lauren Lynn, Joshua, Nicholas, Matthew, Carrie, Erin, Patrick, Thomas, Maura, Joseph, Melissa and Megan; an aunt; Ellen Lesniak, a daughter-in-law; Clare Golden along with many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin Monday, June 2nd at 10:00am from the GERITY & CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 411 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge followed by a 10:30am Mass of Resurrection at St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery in Woodbridge. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 1st from 5pm to 9pm at the funeral home. At the request of the family, donations in Patrick's memory may be made to the St. James Parish Food Pantry, 148 Grenville Street Woodbridge, NJ 07095. To send condolences visit www.gerityfh.com

About the man:
He knew many people, but somehow found a way to always make the one he was with at the time seem special. Never held back on his views, but also never demeaned or insulted anyone in the process. And that is something I will hold in memory.
May God Bless you, uncle Patrick (Frank) Golden, and thank you for sharing.
To family members:
I hope you can find solace in knowing that he has not passed, but has found his way back home and is now reunited with God the Father, Christ our Lord, and all his spiritual family members that have been awaiting his return.
