AGE: 87 • of Wood-Ridge and Point Pleasant Beach
Peter J. Morreale Sr. 87, of Wood-Ridge and Point Pleasant Beach passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Born in New York City to the late John and Mamie Morreale. Peter was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a recipient of the Purple Heart and a member of the AMVETS in Lyndhurst. Before retiring, Peter was a real estate broker for Frank P. Nisi Agency in Hasbrouck Heights. He served as a councilman in Wood-Ridge and was council president. He was a past president and a coach for the Wood-Ridge Pop Warner and the Little League. Peter was a former chairman of the Narcotics Commission and the Zoning Board both in Wood-Ridge. He also served on the Arbitration Commission in Bergen County. Beloved husband of the late Marie (nee Nisi) Morreale. Devoted father of Susan McGowan and her husband Bill and Peter J. Morreale, Jr. and his wife Lorraine. Dear brother of Catherine Seminerio and the late Vincent Morreale. Loving grandfather of six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Monday, June 12th at 9:15 AM. Funeral Liturgy from the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady Wood-Ridge at 10:30 AM. Private cremation will follow. Visitation Sunday, June 11th from 2 - 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society 1480 Rte. 9 #301, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 or to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O.
