Sammie Jordan, 76, of Eatontown, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Gateway Care Center in Eatontown, NJ. He was born in Gastonia, NC on July 5, 1934.
He was predeceased by his wife, Alberta Jordan of 52 years;
3 brothers, James Jordan, Ernest Jordan and Oscar Jr.; 2 sisters, Johnie Mae Wiiliams and Louise Butts.
He is survived by 2 brothers, Clinson Jordan of NC and John Clyde Jordan of Columbus, OH; nephews, Danny Jordan of Long Branch and David Higgins, Jr., aka Pedro of MD; 1 niece, Denice Higgins-Taylor of Neptune; sister-in-law, Rev. Delores Jordan.
Visiting hours will be 1 pm Saturday, February 12 until the time of the funeral at 2 pm at the James H. Hunt Funeral Home, 126 Ridge Ave, Asbury Park. Entombment will be in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls 2 pm on Monday, February 14.
