Cindy Coleman Obituary

Cindy Lea Coleman, 53, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016, after fighting a 30 year battle with the disabilities brought about by a brain aneurysm in 1983. Cindy was loved by so many people who were a part of her life over the years.

Cindy graduated from Yuba City High School and was 19 and attending Yuba College when she had the disabling aneurysm. A lover of horses and an equestrian, this ended her participation in her lifelong passion.

Cindy was born on August 16, 1962 in Elk City, OK to Gary and Lucille Coleman.

Cindy is survived by her mother, Lucille Coleman, sisters Sue Snyder and Kalyn Coleman and her brother Douglass Coleman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Gary Coleman and brother Gary Coleman Jr.

A Rosary will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 1:30 p.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church with Fr. Arlon officiating . Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.

I still think of Cindy and just re-read her obituary here. It brought me joy.

When I think of you, Cindy, I feel your energy and your spirit. I forgot how close we were in age and that you were born in Oklahoma like me. Sharing a little piece of life with you while on this earth was an honor. I remember laughing a lot when we were together. My daughter who was only five remembers you, you and I were good for each other.

Our time together made a difference in my life. Thank you for the memories.

Love,

Cindy Coleman came to my mind today so I googled her name. I had forgotten her last name from many years ago until it popped out of my brain today.

I took care of/hung out with Cindy while living at Beale AFB. It was my pleasure to assist her in life. I would drive her to Chico for rehab, we went out to eat on a regular basis. Together we made the best of life.

I have often thought about Cindy over the years with the hope she gained a lot from the rehab she received along the way. I have pictures of her at my baby shower. I´m happy our paths crossed while here on earth.

I am so sorry to hear of Lisa's passing. Prayers to the family. Lisa & I were at YCHS together and would hang out at "Cowboy Corral".. I pray that the family takes solace in the fact that Lisa is in God's loving embrace
