Well Bro, I’ve reached the age when you left this earth and I miss you so much! You’re face is so vivid in my memory and my heart is so lonely without my big brother here. I love you and miss you so much! Most of the family is there with you now but know you’re all missed.

Darrell Newton, or Uncle Darrell as I call him was one of my favorite Uncles. He was lively, outdoorsy and just a big teddy bear. My Uncle Darrell was the most loving man, he was a great dad to his kids Yvonne, Gene and John, and was definitely a family man. I will always remember my Uncle Darrell and his big truck. He was a beautiful person with a wonderful heart, and he will be missed. I know he is happy up in heaven with Grandma and Grandpa. I love you Uncle Darrell!

Darrell was my hero. He was a gentle giant as I was growing up. He always hugged me when he saw me and our good-byes always ended in aother big hug. He always introduced me as "his little sister" and I knew I was loved. He took me trick-or-treating in his car to the best places to get candy, he would always give me his change when he came home on R&R from the Navy, and he was always the one I called when I wanted to get out of high school classes. My big brother was cool. He helped me when he could, and I always helped him when he needed it. I helped him move from one place to another, scrub walls that his kids had drawn pictures on and babysit so he could go out with Peggy. Darrell always had a green thumb like Daddy, so between the two we always had plenty of fruit and vegetables to eat. Darrell and Ronnie would go hunting and fishing and always bring back their limit of each. Darrell was a good person and was always helping those in need. He helped take care of my mom and dad and his in-laws. He always had a smile on his face. I will miss him dearly and he will always be in my heart, but now he's with Mom and I know he's happy. Take care big brother till we meet again where we can sit around the dinner table with all the family and talk about old times. I love you!
