Dovie Stanley Obituary
Dovie Lou Stanley was born on January 8, 1922 in Missouri and passed away on March 9, 2015 at the age of 93. She was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 70 years and worked for Del Monte Cannery for 25 years.
Survivors include her sons; Charles Montgomery Jr., of Middleton, Idaho and Ron Montgomery of Marysville, California, her daughters; Charlotte Smith Scarbrough of Sheridan California, Linda Montgomery of Marysville, California and Juanita Gay Montgomery Bennett, of Marysville, California, her daugther-in-law, Agnes Montgomery of Middleton, Idaho, and brother, Gene Leonard of Yuba City, California. She also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and eight great great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Stanley, a son, Robert Montgomery, a brother, Arthur Leonard and her mother, Elsie Leonard.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Lipp & Sullivan Chapel.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday March, 13, 2015 at Sierra View Memorial Park in Olivehurst, CA., with Chaplain Norman Highley of Olivehurst Fire Department, officiating.
Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park, Olivehurst, CA.

Dovie was the best mother in law a person could have ever asked for, she was always there when I needed her help and she never judged. Dovie was the rock of our family and she will be greatly missed. RIP Mom, I will love you always.

What a wonderful lady! She was a very kind and loving person. I always felt like a part of the family when I was in her home, which was many, many years, being dear close friends with her daughter's Gay and Linda! Those memories will be with me always! May God Bless you all during this time!

To the family this breaks my heart to see you lose your mom & grandma they are the trunk to our tree of life :-( Dovie was a very kind, loving lady :-) I will never forget the invites to her house to make the annual XMAS cookies with everyone :-) it ment a lot her kindness, and acceptance!
