Roger Michel Obituary
Roger Kenneth Michel passed away on April 22, 2021, at the age of 58.
Roger was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother. A Nicolaus native, he graduated from East Nicolaus High School and went on to get his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science at Chico State. He was proud to begin working as a 5th generation farmer with his father Leo and his brother Jerry.
Roger enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing with friends, and spending time with his family. Later in life, Roger developed a passion for woodworking and loved creating projects for his family and friends. His kindness and sense of humor will always be remembered by his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leo Michel. He is survived by his sons, Adam (Samantha) Michel, and Ryan (Sara) Michel; granddaughter, Addison Michel; mother, Eleanor Michel; brother, Larry (Helen) Michel; sister, Diane (Jerry) Fales; brother Jerry (Claudette) Michel; sister Margaret (Nick) Taylor; brother, Steven (Mary) Michel; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of Roger's life is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 2121 Catlett Road Pleasant Grove, CA 95668. A private service will be held for the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the East Nicolaus High School Woodshop/ROP program at 2454 Nicolaus Ave., Nicolaus, CA 95659, as well as the SSRA Pool at P.O. Box 225 Nicolaus, CA 95659.

To the Michel family,
Dan & I extend our deepest sympathy to you all during this sad time. Roger sure gave it a long hard fight over these many years.
I have good memories of him & will always remember him as a quiet & kind man.
Roger, I hope you & my dad have a good time fishing again up in heaven & I hope you both catch a "big one"! Fish on!

So sorry to here about Roger. Such a wonderful person.
Back in the day, I spent many a day hunting pheasants with Roger and Steven, and of course there lab Coalee. Great person, great family. Sad day.

Roger was in the graduating class ahead of me at East Nicolaus High School. I knew him to be very witty and involved in school activities, including FFA. Prayers of peace and comfort to his family during this difficult time.
