Ruth Noftsger Obituary

Ruth A. Noftsger, 97, of Yuba City, CA, passed away January 22, 2021. Ruth was born September 15, 1923, in Leola, AR. The family came west during the great depression. She met and married a military man, WM. E. Noftsger on June 15, 1941, in Firebaugh, CA.

They lived in Southern CA, for many years. When Uncle Everet (as he was always known by me) retired, they moved to Yuba City. He passed away in November of 1976. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and volunteered many hours in honor of his service.

She is survived by her son, Wm. E. Noftsger, Jr.; granddaughter, Melissa Davis; two great-granddaugters, Alissa Halls and Katlyn Davis; and by her neice and caregiver, Gwen F. Sacchetti.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021, 1pm at Sutter Cemetery.

Ruth was always a very sweet friend. I did her hair for many years at Emerald Oaks. I will always remember her stories about Leola AK and her pride for the veterans. She was always eager to recount the story of her husband’s military time.
I love her. I say this in present tense because I know her faith in our Savior was solid and she is with Him!
Sincerely, Karen Schmall
