Robert Hawk Obituary
He was a life member of K.T. Crossen Post 21 American Legion, Athens.
He worked all his life in the automobile business, staring with C.A. Daugherty automobile agency and later working as a salesman for Johnny Jones Motors and Kinneer Motors. He owned and operated the Bob Hawk Chrysler Plymouth dealership in Athens where he was known as "the little man with the big heart".
Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy Foster Hawk; two sons, Robert L. Hawk, Jr. of Athens and Randall F. (Anne) Hawk of Marango, Ohio; a sister, Joanne Hawk Green of Wellston; a nephew, Gary (Penny) Green of Wellston; and a brother in law, Frank (Anita) Foster of Pickerington.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Glennis (Mary) Hawk and a brother-in-law, Wayne Green.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 13 at 3 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Pastor Georganne Thomas officiating. Friends may call Saturday 2 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. A committal service and military rites will be conducted at a later date at West Union Street Cemetery, Athens. I am sorry to hear about the passing of Bob. I remember meeting him at the car lot and buying my first car from him and sometimes running in to the garage when i needed some help figureing out what was wrong with it. my thoughts and prayers are with his family . he was a great guy with a very big heart

Dear all Hawks everywhere. Here is to the loss of Bobby Sr. This was a Man ( the Little Big Man) that always put a Smile on everyone around him. When Big Kenny passed in 1991, a beautiful Hawk flew over me and our Flag at the Warehouse and Squawked. I knew dad was home safe. Saw one yesterday, believe Sr is home safe too.
