Brandon Watkins Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
WATKINS, Brandon Homegoing services for Brandon Ja'Briel Watkins, of Stone Mountain, will be held Monday, March 28, 2011; 2:00 P.M. at New Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2580 Snapfinger Road Decatur. Pastor Dexter O. Rowland, officiating. The remains will be placed in state at 12:00 Noon. Interment Melwood Cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Jarvis and Janet Stewart; dad, Michael Watkins; maternal grandparents, Harry and Johnnice Rousseau; paternal grandmother, Joanne Watkins; three siblings, Shakeena Watkins, Brodrick Walker, and a half-sister, Kierra Watkins; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 5241 Long Green Lane Stone Mountain, Georgia 30088 at 1:00 P.M. Donald Trimble Mortuary, Inc., 1876 Second Avenue (404) 371-0772-3.

Brandon "Fat" it will be 4 years on the 23rd of this month since God called you home. I miss you with everything in me Son. Not a day goes by that I do not think about you in some capacity. I either have a memory of something you said or did; hear someone laugh that sounds so much like you; pick up something or see something in the home that sounds so much like you or I can just be looking at your picture. I just miss you and I love you so much Son. Mom

Son the anniversary of your demise is near and my heart aches because you are no longer here. I never knew that grieving lasts this long until I lost you. I know nothing happens by mistake and I also know God had His reasons yet I cannot help but feel sad because I lost a piece of myself when you were called home. Jan/Jarvis and family, No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve the lost of Brandon. Your son fought a good fight and God gave him the greatest prize of all (his Wings), something we all hope to receive in time.
