SULLIVAN, Catherine Catherine (Kitty) Wells Sullivan a native of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and a resident of St. Simons Island for twenty-four years, died May 25, 2008, at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Catherine lived in Atlanta for fifty-eight years, and was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, R. Roger Sullivan, Sr., and by her daughter, Carol Adrienne Sullivan. She loved them both deeply. Mrs. Sullivan is survived by a son, Dr. Joseph R. Sullivan and his wife, Faye, of Anchorage, Alaska, their daughter, Kelli Price, her husband, Donnie, and their children Chase and Mason, of Edmund, Oklahoma, and their daughter, Shannon Sullivan of San Bruno, California; a son, Kevin T. Sullivan and his wife, Amy, of Atlanta, and a son, R. Roger Sullivan, Jr., and his wife, Lynn, of Atlanta, and their children Catherine Sullivan, Elizabeth Sullivan and Olivia Sullivan. She is also survived by her daughter, Frances S. O'Connor and her husband, Tom, of St. Simons Island, and their children, Daniel O'Connor of San Diego, California, Catherine O'Connor of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Amy O'Connor of San Francisco, California. Catherine is also survived by her brother, Leo Wells, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and her sister, Rita Hooker, of Mechanicsville, Maryland, and many nieces and nephews. Catherine loved bridge and her bridge partners, who think "re-double" was her favorite word. She brought many a smile and laugh, and touched many lives. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 27, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Edo Miller Funeral Home. Visitation will also be Thursday, May 29, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Patterson Funeral Home, Spring Hill, in Atlanta, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 30, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of Christ the King. Burial will be in West View Cemetery. Catherine asked that donations be made to the International Seamen's Center, 307 Newcastle Street, Brunswick, GA. 31502, or to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick GA 31525. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff of the PCCU of Southeast Georgia Health System, and the entire staff of Hospice of the Golden Isles for their exceptional care and compassion.
