Cherie Kline-Mintz Obituary

Family-Placed Death Notice

KLINE-MINTZ, Cherie Our beloved mother passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012. She was eighty-four years young. Her parents were Abe and Mary Kline of Cleveland, Ohio. Her father immigrated to America from Russia with his parents. Her loving husband, adoring parents and brothers preceded her in death. Cherie was so blessed to be married for 57 years when she lost her Lou. She is survived by two loving sons, Dr. Stephen Mintz of Atlanta and Dr. Greg Mintz of Augusta and two devoted daughters-in-law, Doris Boye-Mintz and Connie Mintz. Cherie had six grandchildren, Charna Mintz, Alicia Martell, Jonathan Boye, Joe Resudek, Gav Martell, and Rachel Boye who blessed her life with her six great grand children, Emily Martell, Joshua Martell, Lauren Boye, Isabella Martell, Evangeline Boye and Audrey Boye. She lived a full life with a career as mother and bookkeeper for Debra Plumbing in Cleveland Ohio. She volunteered at Mount Sinai Hospital for over 30 years. She loved the challenge of Bridge and enjoyed sharing times with friends playing Majong. Cherie was an outstanding chef and had a green thumb, which she used to grow beautiful flowers. She was a devoted niece to her Aunt Gert. When asked what her greatest legacy would be she smiled and said with no hesitation, my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her last days she bravely battled Alzheimer's and taught each of us patience, the value of just being with her and the power of touch. Sometimes she was graced with short periods of recognition. Cherie, know you impacted our lives and we will miss you deeply. There will be a service on Sunday, February 19th at 3:00 in the afternoon at the home of Stephen and Doris Mintz. Call 404-317-6122 for directions. We thank each of you for your love and support of Cherie during the past few years with consistent visits, love and care - Helen McClure, Claire Keys, Iofsefina Ibanescu, the staff at Arbor Terrace -Tucker and the staff at New Hope Home -Lawrenceville.
