Family-Placed Death Notice

FREDERICK RICHMOND CHADWICK, III Mr. Frederick Richmond Chadwick, III, age 65 of Alpharetta, GA died Thursday, June 1, 2006. A native Atlantan, Mr. Chadwick was the son of the late Frederick Richmond Chadwick, Jr. and Meriel Pugmire Chadwick. He was a 1963 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was a member of the U.S. Army, R.O.T.C. program and received a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. Following college, Mr. Chadwick served for two years at the Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA. While there, he developed a conveyor system for which he received the U.S. Army Medal of Commendation. Mr. Chadwick was the president of Engineered Crane Systems of America and was the inventor of an automated creeling system used in the textile industry. He was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church. Mr. Chadwick is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mrs. Joyce McIntyre Chadwick; son, David Richmond Chadwick of Cumming, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Roger Dillard of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Lindsay Nichols of Alpharetta and Grant Chadwick Dillard of Woodstock; brothers, John Ruddell Chadwick of Atlanta and Kenneth Vickers Chadwick of Big Canoe, GA. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church, Fr. Bryan Small celebrant. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, June 4 from 2 until 4 p.m. at Patterson's Arlington Chapel and immediately following the mass at the church. Memorial tributes may be posted to the Chadwick family by visiting www.mem.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Brigid Catholic Church Building Fund, 3400 Old Alabama Road, Alpharetta, GA 30022 or to the American Cancer Society for Carcinoid Cancer Research, 6500 Sugarloaf Pwy., Ste. 260, Duluth, GA 30097.
