George was a great friend to Francis and me. He was a college roommate for Francis at the University of Kentucky. We had really a close friendship with George and Mary Jo. We miss him everyday. We have great stories to remember of time together. I can hear his great laugh when he and Francis would share time together. We are grateful we can continue to enjoy being with his children. He has wonderful children and that is our joy.

Dear Mrs. Scarborough,
You and Mr. S., came into my life at a time when I felt invisible. During the years I spent with you as a part of the National Teen-ager family, you not only taught me how to walk properly and gave me interview skills that I still use to this day; You both showed this shy little girl how to develop the God given talents hidden within me.
SO much of who I am today is because of you allowing me to be a part of your family.
55 years of marriage! WOW! The Love between You both has always been a beautiful example; you've shown many generations True commitment and True Love through Good times and Bad. Your CHRIST Centered marriage made God SMILE!
Mrs. Scarborough, Joe(y),George, Carolyn and the entire family, PLEASE Know that we, the Silanskas/Garvis' are heart broken for your loss and we will continue to pray for you to Feel Gods Comforting arms holding you.
Compassionately,
Dianne Silanskas Garvis

Joe- May God comfort you, your mother and entire family. I lost my father after an extended illness and I still remember the sense of loss I felt. Eventually, it was replaced by the peaceful assurance that he is with God and watching us navigate the curves of life. May you feel the same peace. Blessings to you all.

So sorry to hear the news about George. He truly had a servant's heart, and was a special friend to me. Our Katie took care of him in the hospital and assured me he is so much happier walking the streets of gold! Hang on to the great memories to get you through this time.

To the Scarborough Family, I was so sad when I heard this news. Mr. Scarborough played a huge part in making the SA-50 Sunday School (Single Adults in their 20's) at FBC a wonderful part of my life. I sat by his side many weeks as he took roll and welcomed new people to our class. I miss those days. I'll be praying for your family.

How we wish we could be at the funeral this afternoon as your family has meant much to ours. George was a man of many talents, but his smile is what I remember the most. He & Mary Jo raised an amazing family and our thoughts are with you all. As you gather this afternoon, we will be in church in Amman, Jordan thinking of you. Blessings, Carol & Tom (Jenkins)

My deepest condolences to the Scarborough Family, I had the great pleasure of sitting next to Mr. Scarborough at his son Joe's book signing and I wanted to share the warm greeting I received from Mr. Scarborough as he offered me his chair to hear the book review. We chatted it up a bit and within minutes we shared some great laughter together. He was a true gentleman. Suzanna Shea, Fla.
