Dr. Reyes saved my life in 2013. It was touch and go, but he never gave up on me and I know without a doubt that God was guiding his hands during that surgery. He was a constant encouragement and answered every question my family and I had.
He was definitely one of my heroes. I wasn't aware until this week that he had passed away.
His family will be in my prayers.
RIP sir - you will be missed. I'm forever grateful to you!!!

I would always see you and Dr. Reyes at church and each time I saw you both I would be so thankful as Dr. Reyes operated on my when he was but 10 years old (he is now 31). He had been sick for 6-8 weeks, and Dr. Reyes was the one person that was able to find and correct his health issues. I will always be grateful to God for creating such a wonderful doctor, you for your strength in supporting your doctor husband and to your husband, for saving my son from sickness and pain. My prayers are with you and your family.

My deepest condolences to Frances and all the family. Dr. Reyes was a wonderful man. I enjoyed working with him for many years at Southern Regional Medical Center. He was always kind and compassionate with all his patients.

No one here will know who I am, but in 1990 Dr. Reyes saved my life at the age of 37 yrs. old. He removed approximately 1 foot of my sigmoid colon. Today I am 64 yrs. old and have always been thankful for his knowledge and tenacity and agressiveness to save my life. I will never forget him....Just thought the family might want to know......Warren Williams

I have known Dr. Reyes since I started working at Henry Medical Center in 1990. He was always very pleasant in a heated discussion about a case. Very accommodating. His son and my son went to woodward Academy in middle andi highschool and had the pleasure of enjoying some of the music they played together. I am surprised when I said hello to German this morning that he still remember me. say prayers to the Reyes family and my condolensces.
Francis : If all of these are over. I like to reach out to you and hopefully get together one day, as you know also lost my husband to liver cancer.

Desde la distancia les envío un fuerte abrazo por la pérdida muy temprana de Germán. Guardo muchos recuerdos del primo, desde la niñez en Utuado hasta las oportunidades que tuve de visitarle en Atlanta. Germán fue gran primo, un gran hombre de familia y un gran médico y cirujano. Estoy espiritualmente con todos. Que Dios les dé la fortaleza necesaria en estos momentos.

Our hearts are broken...German Reyes was a God send to our family when we were most in need of him. I know he always told us only God can heal, but with his honesty, his caring and his great faith, he made a horrible time a bit easier for us. And then he celebrated with us when it was finally finished. He was the best surgeon ever, and such a wonderful friend. We will miss him here on Earth, but know he will be there for us again when our time is done. Much love to Frances, "Little" German, Isa and "Little" Frances, Katya and his family.
