Family-Placed Death Notice

Mr. John Perry "Shorty" Byrom, Sr. of Riverdale, died September 17, 2006. He was born in 1918 in Senoia, GA to the late Frank & Nellie Byrom. He was a decorated World War II veteran. He retired after 30 years in 1976 from the maintenance department at the Chrysler Corporation. He was a member of North Fayette Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two wives, Ruby Mae Byrom and Bernice Byrom. He is survived by his five sons and their wives: Perry & Julie Byrom of Jackson, GA; Lamar & Carolyn Byrom of Riverdale; Dennis & Sandra Byrom of Fayetteville; Joel & Shelia Byrom of Meansville, GA; Keith & Donna Byrom of Tyrone; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will by held Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at 11:00 AM at North Fayette Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Willis officiating. Burial will follow at College Park Cemetery.
