Family-Placed Death Notice

Joseph Clyde "Dusty" Rhodes, 58 of Memphis formerly of Atlanta, Georgia died Sunday, September 2, 2007 at his residence. He was a retired truck driver, was a veteran of the Vietnam Era, member of the Al Chymia Shrine Temple, former member of the Shrine Clown unity, 32nd degree Mason of the OK Houck Lodge and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Rhodes is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Jeannette L. Rhodes; daughters, Teresa Rhodes (Mark) Williamson of Memphis and Shelly Murphy (Donald) George of Bristol, TN; son, Dana (Beverly) Murphy of Las Vegas, NV; preceded in death by his father, Joseph S. "Big Dusty" Rhodes, Jr; and is also survived by his mother, Betty A. Fristrom of Galloway, TN; sisters, Charlotte Robillio of Cordova, TN., Marion MacDonald and Carolyn Greene both of Dawsonville, GA; brothers, Terry Fristrom (Belinda) of Germantown, TN., Robert Rhodes (Teri) of St. Petersburg, FL., LynAllen Rhodes of Snellville, GA. and Jim Liles (Debbie) of Cummings, GA; grandchildren, Stormy Ethan, Dakota, Shannon, Cheyenne, Melian and Kalani. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, Sunday, September 9, 2007 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar. A graveside service will be held at the Rotunda of West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery of Memphis.
