WORTHAM, Juanita Copeland Juanita Copeland Wortham, age 89, passed away on February 26, 2017 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. She was born October 4, 1927 in Whitesburg, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Bernard Lee and Eva Mae Argo Copeland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Clifton Wortham,three brothers, a sister and two grandchildren. Juanita was a graduate of Western High School, Newnan and Southern Business University, Atlanta. She retired from General Motors Lakewood Plant in June, 1987 after completing 25 years of service in the financial department as a Sr. Accountant in payroll and benefits. Mrs. Wortham was a member of First Baptist Church Newnan where she was a member of The Joy Sunday school class and the Voice of Experience Choir. She also participated in the General Motors Retiree Club of the Lakewood Plant. She was a former director of The Western Baptist Association Women's Missionary Union. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (and husband John) Hudson of Kathleen, GA and Sandra (and husband Herbert) Dominy of Acworth, GA. Her sons are Larry (and wife Carol) Wortham of Newnan, GA and Curtis Wortham of Lawrenceville, GA. Also surviving is her brother Glen (and wife Sheryl) Copeland of Tampa, FL. She has nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 beginning at 12:30 PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the McKoon chapel to be led by Dr. Jimmy Patterson and Reverend Mike Emeott. Interment will follow at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
