Family-Placed Death Notice
NASH, Maria Mrs. Maria Kwiatkowski Nash, age 88, of Suwanee, Georgia, passed away at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth following an extended illness. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, November 14, 2010 in Memorial Park South Cemetery. Mrs. Nash was born in West Falen, Germany and was the daughter of the late Maximilian Kwiatkowski and Helen Rosenski Kwiatkowski. A devoted wife and loving mother, she was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 54 years, Robert Alfred Nash. Mrs. Nash came to the United States in 1948, following her marriage in Bad Wildungen, Germany. She was a registered nurse and worked the majority of her career at Georgia Baptist Hospital, until her retirement in 1987. Mrs. Nash is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, R. Fred and Barbara Nash and Michael S. and Rebekah Nash; daughter, Maria Nash Garrison and former son-in-law, Mark Garrison and sister Lu Stonebreaker; half-brother, Klaus Ditter. She was preceded in death by her sister Helene Dausend. She is survived by five grandchildren, Meredith Nash Hooker and husband Randy, Jon Michael Strain, Stephen Oakes Nash, Kayley Nicole Garrison, Zachary James Garrison, and great-grandson, Jonathan Randall Hooker. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Peachtree Christian Hospice 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, GA 30096.
