Michael McDonald Obituary

Mike McDonald was a successful entrepreneur even as a child. Growing up in the Queens borough of New York City, he delivered groceries in a little red wagon. Later, as a young man in the U.S. Navy in Morocco, Mike sold sandwiches on the base to earn money to send home to his family. Over the years, he went from Queens to the heart of Manhattan, the advertising world on Madison Avenue.
He later used his Madison Avenue background to put Atlanta on the world's advertising map. In 1969, he and business partner Tom Little started McDonald & Little, and it became the first hometown agency Coca-Cola Co. hired, according to an article in the New York Times. Other clients over the years included Ralston Purina, Minute Maid, Six Flags Over Georgia, the Atlanta Hawks, the Atlanta Flames, Anheuser-Busch and former U.S. Sen. Sam Nunn, for whom the firm ran his first senatorial campaign.

Jan, I just learned of Mike's passing. I send to you my deep sympathy. It seems like,a time in life, where tomemdoesn't Matter as it is overwhelming to lose your life partner.
We have lost a connection, but I hope we can get together when things settle. One day at a time dear friend. With Jesus all things are possible.
Hope your girls and their families are near by,it helps so much. Your St.Jude connections are there for you at this time.

Joan,
I am sorry I missed Mike's service. This obit is wonderful and love that he was thankful for the Apostle Paul as he moved towards heaven! I have no doubt that he is creating that ad for "Heaven on Earth" because you are right we so need it here. The good news is Mike is with God in heaven. I hope this gives you comfort even in your grief.
Much love,
Marcia

Dear Family of mr McDonald. So sorry to hear about your love one,i love you all very much to the point that we share that tremendous pain that was brought to your soul,to lose someone you cherish and love so much, but mere words cannot convey the over-whelming feelings of numbness, and despair that can result from such tragic, and unexpected losses. Grief is very intense. We are never totally prepared for the death of a loved one,we never get over a loss, we just get used to it. May be we can look at it this way, that our love one is away on a trip. Try to maintain a positive view point, and with that i leave you to read Proverbs 17:22.

In Memory of Michael

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered come to me. With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
