Family-Placed Death Notice
PAUL L. ANDREWS Paul L. Andrews, 90, of Clearwater, died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Belleair East under the care of hospice. He came here in 1978 from Atlanta, GA. He retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army and assigned to the amphibious tanks in the south Pacific. He was a member of Skycrest Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, the former Velma Carruth; a daughter, Susan Long of Snellville, GA; son, Paul L. Andrews, Jr. of Snellville, GA; sister, Pat Degering of Clearwater; three granddaughters, Lisa Conner of Clearwater, Samantha Marino and Kimberly Long, both of Snellville, GA; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons Wednesday, October 26 at 1 p.m. and visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 25 from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA.

My sister in law (Dorothy Chambers) and I were very sorry to hear of Mr. Andrew's passing. We worked with him at Southern Bell. He was always a kind and courteous man. He will be missed.

Paul was one of the kindest, gentlest people I've ever known. He & Velma were neighbors for many years and friends forever in my heart. More like family!

I am sorry to hear about Paul's passing and that I was not able to attend the visitation or funeral. I worked with Paul at Southern Bell and enjoyed his company and quiet nature. He was a good man.
